Interested in attending the AALL Annual Meeting, July 10-13, 2010 or one of the workshops affiliated with the conference in Denver, CO?  Consider applying for an AALL Grant to cover your registration costs. There are two categories – Experienced Members and Student/New Members. The deadline is April 1, 2010.

New CS-SIS Brochure

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Just in time for the AALL Annual Meeting next month, CS-SIS has a shiny new, printer-friendly PDF brochure.

Big thanks are due to Melissa Serfass of the Communications Committee for her work with AALL in designing the brochure.  Thanks also to Deborah Schander for adding it to the CS website and for her work on spiffing up the site navigation.

ScheduAALL!

Friday, May 1st, 2009

I expect that most CSSISies are doing the same thing I’m doing these days – helping stressed-out law students and dreaming of summer.  I’m looking forward to 2 conferences this summer: CALI in Boulder in June and then the Big One, AALL in Washington DC in July.
For everyone who’s going to the AALL – and I hope it’s everyone – you need to look at fellow CSSISie Tom Boone’s genious Web 2.0 creation for the conference, ScheduAALL 2009. With this interactive, personalizable site Tom has made it easy to plan your time during the conference and keep track of all your official and unofficial plans.

Of course, the AALL has it’s own official online schedule for the Innovate 2009 conference, and props to them for major improvements over previous years.  Tom’s site uses the AALL schedule and builds on it.  You create an account and then you can make your own personal AALL schedule and – this is great – share it with your friends. When you’re ready, Tom’s made it easy to print up your program.

The site also has links to the 2009 AALL Annual Meeting , the Capital Crier Blog (official blog of the conference), the excellent Local Arrangements Committee site, and the Unofficial Conference Wiki.  The Local Arrangers already have an online sign-up sheet prepared for the Dine-Around on Saturday July 25.

So kudos to Tom for creating ScheduAALL and sharing it with all of us, and I hope to see y’all there! Here’s the street view of the Convention Center to give you something to look forward to.
